A LONDON ESCAPADE IN A MAJESTIC CAR

The wine trade is built on personal contact, and we regularly host our friends and clients at Chigny-les-Roses. We also sometimes have the chance to travel abroad and meet our partners, including Majestic Wine Warehouse in the UK. These trips are the perfect opportunity to share our firm’s values and unveil the secrets of Cattier Champagne.
What was different about October’s trip was how we got there, in a vehicle from another time and another century. Yes, we took a classic 1982 Citroën 2CV, whose comforts were modest to say the least. More than just a vehicle, this is a national French symbol, on a par with a baguette or a beret. This car made an instant, highly positive impact.

Our tour of the stores around London was studied in detail, to adapt to the leisurely pace of the car. We received a warm welcome, friendly smiles, and it was a pleasure to share some excellent bottles from our Premier Cru collection.
In fact, this was such a success that we’ve already been invited back next year. Stay tuned.
